coffee addict - travel lover - self trained fine artist
and all around active, creative, silly ball of curls
Originally from Germany, Marie grew up surrounded by artists in the family.
Drawing, painting and making has always been her second passion after dancing.
After school she went on to train as a dance teacher and then study contemporary dance in Leeds.
With art making always happening alongside dancing, Marie has started to focus more on painting and drawing within the past two years. After the first exhibitions and commissions she became more excited and is now not only making more artwork but also often combining it with dance and other art forms - collaborative work always being a big interest of hers.
Inspiration comes from anywhere and anything - paintings are being painted of whatever pops to her head first and with whatever is in closest reach to her hands, most of the times being acrylics.
However this seems to be humans a lot of the time, wether it's friends, family or imagined superheroes, the joy of painting them is addictive for Marie.
Just like her clothing most of the artwork is kept in black and white, with just a splash of colour - like the collection of her crazy socks.
